This glam watering hole could be tricky to find, bar the fact that you can usually see its 'one-out-one-in' queues snaking round into the mall come 8pm. Its sister branch in Madinat Jumeirah has long been the go-to place for a quiet glass of vino in a pretty setting, but this Old Town location has trumped it. The interior is moody and opulent, with metallic flock wallpaper and an abundance of dark nooks and plush booths, although you may need to hover a while before you can secure one. The cocktails are delicious and imaginative and the food, which comes in dainty mini-portions, is above-average bar fare. Unlike some Dubai hotspots, it's very easy to see why this has quickly become a firm favourite with the locals - be warned though, its popularity means it can afford to be picky on the door - so bin the flip flops.
